The project involved creating an editorial edition as part of a master’s thesis, focusing on conducting research into a contemporary issue. The goal was to explore a topic intimately connected to artistic direction, culminating in a visual and scholarly work.
The edition explores the LGBTQIA+ struggle in 1970s France, uncovering the stories of those who raised placards as acts of love and resistance. Through an archival approach, it highlights how visual language became a tool for activism, identity, and memory, preserving fragments of the past while honoring the voices and experiences of those who shaped the movement. Each chapter invites the reader to “enter the closets,” connecting historical testimonies to contemporary reflections on visibility and legacy.
